Wayne Thiebaud Desserts
Using oil pastels & colored pencils, the 6th graders drew desserts from real desserts that they were instructed NOT to eat only after I promised them a party of desserts they could eat at the end of the week. We learned about Wayne's use of horizontal lines in the background & shadows. Also the kids outlined the shadows, lines and desserts in complimentary colors with colored pencils.
Their work will be exhibited at Robin's Candy Shop in Great Barrington at the end of May. More to come about the show.
