Stained Glass Still Lifes Warm & Cool

6th graders did these. We played a fun little game for picking the objects. Each table has 4 kids. We have 4 tables. 16 kids. We had 16 slips of paper numbered 1-16. We have 17 objects to draw. the kid who picked #1 got to choose their object first, and so on. At the end of the picking, each table have 4 objects. Then, each kid had to pick 3 of the 4 objects on the table & draw them. (contour line drawings).Then they retraced the drawings with sharpie & drew 10-15 diagonal lines. Then they used the oil pastels warm for objects or background and cool for objects or background.We used water soluble oil pastels and blended with a wet paint brush, rather than blending with fingers.
